Our dim sum classes are genuine hands on. Making pretty and tasty dim sum requires a lot of preparation work and all the measurement and preparation steps need to be precise.

If you follow exactly what we teach you, the taste of the dim sum that you make will be as good as the one that you can get in a good Chinese restaurant.

However, individual's hand skill can make the appearance different. You must keep on practicing to improve your speed and skill, as that will affect the appearance and texture of the dim sum.

A lot of applicants asked me whether they can join dim sum classes if they just start to learn cooking.

My answer is YES. Your previous cooking experience won't give you much benefit when you start learning dim sum. The most important thing is you must have enough PATIENCE and you are willing to follow instructor's advice and accept new technique to improve your handskill.

In dim sum classes, you'll learn how to knead and roll wrappers and plead dumplings in professional way. The number of pleads is not just for decoration, It helps to keep dumplings in shape after steaming.

You'll also learn the technique in boiling, steaming and frying to cook the dim sum that you made.

All these steps require precise measurement, individual's hand skill, patience and working speed.

If you think you have enough patience and you're really keen to learn dim sum making technique. You are welcome to join our Full Day Dim Sum Classes.

If you are not use to stand on your feet and work, but you want to experience how to make dim sum. You can consider joining our Half Day Dim Sum classes. Those are also hands on classes. You can learn the same technique but don't have to stand and work for 5.5 hours.
